Wakulla Wildlife Festival

April 16, 2016

The festival is a celebration of the area’s wildlife and is intended to be especially inviting for children and the child in everyone. Local music, a Children’s Art Show, children’s activities, wildlife exhibitors and wildlife tours in a neighborhood family atmosphere make the festival an area favorite. The theme of the 2016 Wakulla Wildlife Festival is GO NATIVE! With the help of the Magnolia and Sarracenia Chapters of the Florida Native Plant Society and the Hairstreak Chapter of the North American Butterfly Association, the 2016 Wakulla Wildlife Festival is hoping to enlist and empower festival goers to be positive forces toward improving pollinator populations. Author Craig Huegel will be a special guest speaker and The St. Francis Wildlife Association will have their winged ambassadors participating in two special presentations. Guided tours are available at an additional cost; advance registration is highly recommended since tours often fill to capacity well in advance of the festival.
