MARINE TURTLES IN A CHANGING WORLD: POTENTIAL IMPACTS & OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONSERVATION
Marine turtles have thrived in the world’s oceans for millions of years. However, as a result of anthropogenic pressures, many populations have declined in the last decades and now face a number of challenges to survive in the 21st century. This presentation will explore some the threats that marine turtles face and discuss some of the opportunities for their conservation. Case studies will be presented from research conducted in Brazil, Australia and the USA.
