Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Apalachee Maritime Heritage Paddling Trail
May 13, 2013
Please join us on Monday, May 13, 10:30 am to celebrate the opening of this region’s newest recreational attraction – ten distinct paddling trails through Florida’s last great bay, and its inlets, rivers, and springs. Designed for enthusiasts of all levels, these trails invite one to enjoy fishing, wildlife viewing, and photography, or to simply relax in the tranquility of an inlet as the clouds roll by.
The ceremony will feature presentations on the trails and the materials and partnerships developed to showcase them. At 11:00 A.M. attendees can take a guided field trip to experience the Port Leon Loop Paddling Trail by boat or kayak or take a guided VIP Tour of San Marcos de Apalache Historic State Park. The event will conclude with a picnic lunch at the State Park sponsored by the St. Marks and Panacea Waterfront Florida Partnership communities.
Please RSVP by May 9 to Diane Delaney at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on 850/320-1822. Participants are invited to bring their own kayaks.
