“Building a Brand with Social Media: A Strategic Communication Success Story”

About the presenter:

Matt Thompson is Managing Partner of For The Table Hospitality which created food and beverage brands such as Madison Social, Township, Centrale, Social Catering & Events, So DOUGH Baking Co., Magda’s, and Happy Motoring. Matt also serves as Department Chair for Flagler College’s Strategic Communication Major. After receiving both his degrees from Florida State University ( B.S. in Public Relations, M.S. in Interactive Communication), Matt went on to have an eclectic marketing background that includes agency, brand, and academic experience. He has taught various communication courses at Florida State University, University of Central Florida, and numerous community colleges. As mentioned, he currently is Managing Partner at For The Table Hospitality where he oversees all marketing and customer experience. In 2014, he received the Tallahassee Golden ACE Award for Entrepreneur of the Year and in 2016 he won the Leadership Tallahassee’s Leadership Pacesetter award. Matt served as a board member for the Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce (2015-2018) and currently is a board member for the Leon County Tourist Development Council and Tallahassee Entrepreneur Organization.
