Hello WCHS Members and Friends,
Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 13, 7pm at the Wakulla County Library, Join us as we listen to stories about the little town of Woodville. We will have a group of seniors who have lived in Woodville throughout their lives and they will tell us much about its history.
Be sure to get your raffle tickets for the pen and ink painting of a fisherman by Fran Mathis. Tickets are $1 or six for $5. We will have tickets for this at the November meeting, or you can come by the Musuem and get them. The drawing will be held at our annual open house at the Museum on December 11.
Here is a list of DVD’s of past programs that we have available. WCHS DVD’s They are $10 each. To order any of them, you may reply to this email or call the Museum. We will have them copied as we receive orders.
We started our new year off with a good annual meeting with 74 in attendance. Everyone enjoyed Jim Dunbar’s presentation and the presentation by Scott Joyner on our new book. Attached are short bios on our WCHS Board of Directors for 2012-2013.
Our new book, The Greens and Cornbread of Wakulla County: Historical Stories Told by the People is in. The cost including tax is $32.05. You can come by the Museum and pick up a copy, call us at 850-926-1110 to have it mailed to you or order it from our website. The shipping cost is $4.00 for one or $6.50 for two or three books.
