The Healing Arts of Wakulla County (HAWC), on behalf of the Wakulla County Coalition for Youth, Inc., would like to invite you to the Wakulla’s Working Waterfronts Project Photo Project Exhibit Grand Opening on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the new Wakulla One Stop Community Center located at 318 Shadeville Road (at Shadeville Road and Trice Lane) in Crawfordville.
The Wakulla Working Waterfronts Project received a grant from the Florida Department of Cultural Affairs to utilize the talents of Wakulla’s local photographers to visually capture the richness of our county’s maritime tradition, a series of 45 photographs that highlight local fishermen, shrimpers, crabbers, crab-pickers, oystermen, trap-makers, boat-makers, and more. The exhibit’s grand opening will feature these 45 beautiful photographs that have been selected as well as several hundred more that showcase the heritage of our seafood and maritime industries.
Please join us for this important and historic event that celebrates our county’s seafood and maritime heritage and be sure to spread the word to family, friends and colleagues, too.
