Progress Energy Changes Name But Not Commitment to Customers

As you know, we had a change in our company in July 2012 with the Duke Energy merger. We will soon have another change—a new name and logo. Starting April 29, our customers will begin seeing the Duke Energy name and new company logo throughout our service territory.

Many customers have asked, “Why change the company name in Florida?” Changing our name demonstrates that we are now one unified company. Together, we are focused on delivering cleaner, reliable and affordable energy.
