THE WAKULLA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BROWN BAG SERIES WORKSHOP SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2011 CALENDAR YEAR
Business leaders are encouraged to take advantage of finance, leadership and entrepreneurship seminars
Crawfordville, FL – The Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the 2011 workshops available through the “Brown Bag Lunch Series.” Instituted in 2010, the Brown Bag Lunch Series workshops provide relevant and useful tools to assist businesses in growing and prospering in today’s economy. The workshops are provided in partnership with the Jim Moran Institute, Steve Brown, FAMU Small Business Development Center and Chamber business member, Tally Up Tax and Accounting.
Workshop topics include personal improvement tips such as Time Management, The Art of Speaking, Managing Through Coaching and Mentoring, Giving and Receiving Feedback and Leadership Essentials. Businesses and individuals can also take advantage of financial workshops dealing with How to Handle Back Taxes, Cash Management and Record Keeping.
Anyone interested in starting a business and/or developing a business plan will want to take advantage of the workshops being provided the FAMU Small Business Development Center. These workshops assist businesses in understanding the path one must take when requesting funding for their business as well as creating a business plan for success. FAMU is also excited to announce a new workshop ““ Starting a Green Business.
“The Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce is excited to be able to continue to offer these much needed workshops to Chamber members at no cost,” said Kimberly A. Moore, Past President, Wakulla County Chamber of Commerce. “The expertise provided by our partners allows local businesses and individuals the opportunity to grow or develop.”
Most workshops will begin at 11:30 am and will range from one (1) to one and one-half (1Â½) hours. The workshops are free for Chamber members, however, registration is required. Individual workshops are available for a minimal fee to non-Chamber members.
