Exploring the Ecology of the Big Bend – The Apalachicola National Forest and the Wakulla Environmental Institute is in the heart of one million acres of public land that makes the region one of the top ten for biological diversity in the country. We will explore the forest and the areas surrounding it, learning about the forces that shaped these ecosystems, and the actions needed to maintain this area as a special place in the country.
