Seeking Volunteers – National Public Lands Day

September 26, 2015

National Public Lands Day

Saturday, September 26

National Public Lands Day (NPLD) will take place on Saturday, September 26.   NPLD is the largest national one day volunteer service event devoted to our public lands and is opportunity for citizens to give back to their parks and forests.

At WSSP,  volunteers will be working in the Cherokee Sinks area. They will be planting flowering shrubs for pollinators and milkweeds for monarchs.  They will be planting trees and installing fencing to prevent erosion into the sink.

This service project will take place from 9am – 12pm.  Please meet at the side gate (see map below) and wear work clothes and shoes.

Please consider donating your time and talents to help with this service day.  It is a wonderful way to give back to the park. May I add your name to our list of eager volunteers? I hope to hear from you soon.
