The Board of County Commissoners have received the following notice:

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO FLORIDA PUBLIC OFFICIALS

REGARDING DEEP WATER HORIZON OIL SPILL CLAIMS

TO:  COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

The Deepwater Horizon Economic and Property Damage Claims Center opened June 1, 2012, as a means of providing compensation to all remaining oil spill victims.  The new claims process is a court supervised settlement program and is being operated at the direction of Claims Administrator Patrick Juneau.

Florida claims may now be filed online at www.deepwaterhorizonsettlements.com or at local claims offices in Apalachicola, Clearwater, Ft. Walton Beach, Naples, Panama City Beach, and Pensacola.

Additionally Mr. Juneau has appointed my law firm as a Governmental Liaison for the state of Florida to provide special assistance to all public officials regarding claims of their constituents if they cannot be handled effectively by the claims system currently in place.

If you or your staff needs special claims assistance, you may contact me at deepwaterliaison@gmail.com or my office at (850) 763-4111.  The claims center contact  is David Duval at (504) 934-4915.

I look forward to providing this extra level of assistance to you and your constituents.
